Rhyolite's core asset is the right to acquire 80% of the 96km^2 Brothers gold project in Suriname. The Brothers gold project lies within the Guiana Shield greenstone belt, which hosts Iamgold's Rosebel gold mine and Newmont's Merian Mine. While, never drill tested, extensive alluvial gold mining and small scale underground gold mining occur on the Brothers gold project.
Rhyolite also holds the 100% owned Paxson gold project located in eastern Alaska. Paxson covers an area within the 1,200 km long Tintina Gold Belt, a metallogenic province stretching from Northern British Columbia to SW Alaska. The province is host to world class gold deposits such as Pogo (5 Moz), Fort Knox (7 Moz), and Livengood (16.5 Moz) and remains a prime area for gold exploration. In 2011, Rhyolite successfully executed a 2,247 meter drill program on the Paxson property and drilled 3 separate gold targets within a 4km-by-3km area.
